1. What are various methods available to upload inventory on the web site?

Method 1 This method of updating the inventory lines is convenient only for small changes in inventory. The add and delete options of this method are shown as +/- respectively can be used. Method 2 To upload your inventory in .csv format click on Upload Inventory and browse the file. The user can either replace their complete existing inventory or add to the existing inventory. Method 3 In this method the user mails his inventory to stock@bearingonline.com in either .xls or .csv format.

 
2. Can I download my exisiting inventory from the web site?

Click on Existing inventory button on the Inventory page and you will be able to get the excel file with all your details.

 
3. Can I upload my inventory in Excel format?

It is not possible to upload the inventory in Excel format, it is possible in .csv format only. If you have the inventory in .xls format you can save the file in .csv format and upload it on the portal.

 
4. Can I add inventory records to my database or it automatically replaces the records ?

By using method 2, the user can either replace or add to the existing inventory as per the requirement.

 
5. I accidently replaced all my inventory how can I get it back ?

6. Do I have to upload the file only in format specified by you ?

For method 2 you have to upload the file in the specified format only. For any other format you can mail us at stock@bearingonline.com.

 
7. Can I upload my inventory through email?

Yes you can send all your inventory records to us by emailing it at stock@bearingonline.com. Within 24hours we will update all your records.

 
8. Can I replace my existing inventory completely?

By using the method 2, click on 'upload inventory', browse the files and select ‘replace online inventory’.

 
9. Can I add to my existing inventory on the database?

By using the method 2, click on ‘upload inventory’, browse the files and select ‘add to inventory’.

 
10. How many days will it take to upload my inventory by e-mail?

The inventory will be uploaded on the web site the same working day on which the file is received.

 
11. Where should I contact if I am coming up with inventory upload problems?

12. What does the symbol of ‘Total no. of hits’ indicate?

The number of times a particular item in your inventory database was searched by other members of bearingonline.com.

 
13. How can I find out which items from my inventory were searched by other members ?

By clicking the Edit Inventory (-) button on the inventory page you can get detailed view of each item and number of hits it has generated. You can use this information as a market insight to stock appropriate parts in future.

 
14. How much time will it take to Add/Delete the lines of inventory with the help of method 1?

The updation of the ADD/DELETE is instant. In case if you come across problems, please do not hesitate to mail us at info@bearingonline.com.

 
15. For method 3 of uploading inventory what e-mail address should we mail?

You should mail your inventory in the prescribed format to stock@bearingonline.com.
